DECAFFEINATED - Swashbuckler

Brazilian Decaf is a full flavoured Brazilian coffee that has been dark roasted to bring out the rich coffee flavours inherent in the beans. It can be enjoyed at any time of the day or night.

This is our popular decaffeinated coffee. Using the Swiss Water® process, a 100% chemical free process to remove caffeine from green coffee beans, the green beans are cleaned and pre-soaked using water which hydrates them in preparation for caffeine extraction. The beans are then placed in Green Coffee Extract and carefully monitored as the caffeine (but not the important coffee flavours) is gently removed. The Green Coffee Extract is then passed through proprietary carbon filters until the beans are 99.9% caffeine free. The result is a coffee that retains its distinctive origin and flavour characteristics - the only thing that is missing is the caffeine.
